Circuit Rescue
Wire batteries, switches and bulbs to power up a dark spaceship. Find out why some bulbs glow dim and others shine bright.
First light
The ship is dark. Use the battery and the bulb, plus wires, to make the bulb glow.
- No bulbs yet.
Pick a part, then press a gap between two dots. Press the same part again to take it back. Use the hand to flip a battery (+ side) or click a switch. 100% is one bulb on one battery.
The science behind it
Read these after a few missions.
What is electricity, really?
Picture electricity as water in a pipe. Find out what a battery, a wire and a switch each do.
Why do some bulbs glow dim?
Two bulbs, one battery, two ways to wire them. Try both and see which one shines and which one shares.
Safe circuits with a battery, a bulb and a wire
Low-voltage hands-on activities that pair with Circuit Rescue, with safety rules and questions to ask.
Using Circuit Rescue in class
Missions 1–2 cover the complete loop and switches. Missions 3–4 compare series and parallel wiring with the same parts. Mission 5 shows batteries adding up, and Mission 6 combines everything. The game solves a real circuit model, so brightness values are meaningful: 100% is one bulb on one battery. See the safe hands-on activities.
